July My Texas Market Review and Unboxing

I LOVE New Subscription Boxes.

Today’s box is no exception to the rule, in fact… it exceeds the rule!

My Texas Market is a monthly subscription box that sends small batch items from Texas businesses and farmers markets. As a way to support small business and share Texas culture with everyone else!
Cost $35 monthly, save $5 on a 3 month subscription and $15 on a six month subscription

Here’s the box breakdown
This is everything that I received in the July
My Texas Market Subscription Box
The theme was “Summer in the South”
First Item
This was good, tasted like a brownie but a little more spongey. Also, this is paleo guys.
This keeps the bugs away, I tried it today while I was out in the yard doing some “yardening” and I did NOT get bit! Beyond that, if you like Lavender it smells great
Manready Mercantile Hand Salve
“For Hard Working Hands”
I really like that this was included because while I haven’t had a chance to really use it yet I’m certain that it’s going to come in handy. Smells nice and has a really nice smooth properties.
This healthy snack mix is made with coconut, nuts, fruit, and essential oils. I put them in the car, they didn’t get very far though. To boot they are all natural, gluten and GMO free.
Is it just me or are there others that are a sucker for that font? Love the lettering. The balm is really nice as well. Made from beeswax, coconut oil, and peppermint essential oils
(link goes to their google plus page)
I haven’t gotten a chance to use this yet, however I was sent directions on how to use it. Mr. I’m Not a Tree is super excited for this (he loves this sort of stuff!) Basically this bag adds smoked flavor to the your grilled foods! This was a box bonus item!
Um… How ADORABLE is this?!
This entire card was made inside the makers home in Austin, Texas. The card is supposed to add fun to a (possibly) boring greeting card.

“Shop Outside the Box”

My Texas Market also includes Texas businesses that don’t necessarily fit into the box for whatever reason (customization, price, or size) and so they include coupons. The July Box included coupons for
Jewelry and wedding pieces from repurposed antiques

High Quality Natural Skincare

In Summary

Subscription Boxes have 3 points that they should hit on Quality, Presentation, and Curation
As far as quality
Everything included in the My Texas Market July box was a really high quality item.
 For presentation
This box really was like getting a box from the market. neatly tied, stamped and assembled.
Was exemplary, for the “Summer in the South” theme I felt like the items included were not only relevant but also things I myself wouldn’t have thought of.

It was well thought out and for a very first box they hit it right out of the park.

I LOVED this box
