Here’s the Box Breakdown
First glance at the top of the Muse Monthly box.
Here’s is everything that I received in the August Muse Monthly box

So, what is it all?

Rishi Earl Grey Lavender Tea
$8.99
I have tried Early Grey tea before and if you’ve ever had tea even just a couple of times you have probably had Earl Grey as well. However, the Lavender was a new spin for me, I do love floral teas – so I was definitely excited to try this one!
All the details! Also, you guys may dislike me after this but here’s my confession: I re steep tea way too much. Sometimes I  steep it like three or four times. I know, I know.
What this Rishi tea looks like before it’s been steeped. Is it just me or are loose leaf teas ridiculously pretty?
Any hoot this was so aromatic. The lavender completely altered Earl Grey, and in a good way. It was so relaxing and even though this has a high caffeine rating the lavender makes it ideal for a pre-bed teatime.
Metal Bookmark

“Oh for a Muse of fire, that would ascend The brightest heaven of invention”

-Shakespeare

This bookmark is metal and adds a really nice element to the box

The World Before Us – Novel

$15.50
This novel tells the story of 15 year old Jane and a terrible accident that happened at an abandoned asylum in Northern England. While I haven’t read this yet. I look forward to it, I am certain I will enjoy a mug of tea while turning the pages of this novel.

Pressed Flower Bookmark

Isn’t this beautiful? I believe this is Lavender which is pretty apt for this months Muse Monthly box. I also want to note that it’s nice that they sent two bookmarks. Mr. I’m Not a Tree and I sometimes read the same book at the same time so we need two bookmarks to keep our pages!

So, in summary…

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation.
Muse Monthly curates a very particular kind of box. I felt like everything that I received was really well thought out. The story takes place in England and Earl Grey tea is synonymous with England. The pressed flower bookmark is Lavender which is a note in the tea that was in this month’s box. It all tied together very well and for that the curation is wonderful. The quality is very good and everything is presented very well. I am extremely pleased with Muse Monthly!
As far as economy this box makes perfect sense. Without the bookmarks this box is worth $24.50 and the monthly cost for Muse Monthly is a mere $21 so you definitely get your money’s worth. This is a great treat to yourself or to a friend. Great ideas for book clubs as well, Muse Monthly is a really cool way to get your tea and book fix all in one shot!
