Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Nugget Subscription. As you can see there is a personalized note and everything is in there really soundly with some sealed air and bubble wrap!
Here is everything that we received in the September “Animal” themed Nugget Box
Everything is so bright and cute! I couldn’t wait for Isabelle to take a look!
We love books. It’s the one thing we feel you can never have enough of.

So, what is all this stuff?

Inserts & Catalog
The personalized note, information card, and a Barefoot Books catalog
Animal Stories “The Tortoise Gift” Chapter Book
I love the color of the illustrations in this chapter book. It’s super eye catching and it’s enjoyable from a parents perspective as well as a childs.
This is the kind of book that Isabelle and I will work on together. It will be a great challenge for her!
I love the dust jacket of this book. Isabelle wanted to put the stickers she received inside here but I held her off…. for now.
Bear at Work Activity Book
Isabelle really liked this one. (It comes with reusable stickers)
There are a lot of cute activities to keep your little one occupied in this book.
The reusable stickers inside the activity book
Matching the bear up to all his jobs!
These stickers are too darn cute! There are 160 in this package. I figured while Belle did her Bear activity this was something Oliver and I could do together.
Our masterpiece!
“Animal Boogie” Paperback with Enhanced CD
Okay so there is one very important piece of information about this book.
The song in this book is sung by Fred Penner.
If you were a kid of the ’90’s you know Fred Penner’s Place was a really awesome show where he crawls through a tree tunnel and sings folk music. It was pretty much the coolest. show. ever.
Well he does the music on this book!
This made my day!
You can sing it at home too! The lyrics and CD are included!
Excited about the book! I don’t think they were excited as me though!
Elephant Crown Craft Activity
A great way to end any children’s subscription box is with a really fun craft like this one!
We are making an elephant headband. It is very simple and a cute way to externalize all we’ve learned about animals!
All of our pieces cut out.
Headpiece assembled.
Trunk attached.
Our elephant ears!
She wore this onto the school bus today.
I made her turn it around so it wasn’t disturbing her vision but, yes she wore it to school.

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. Most parents have heard of Barefoot Books and so they are familiar with the quality of them as well. But if you aren’t familiar all the books are super high quality and very nice for young children. The Nugget Subscription is also  presented well and arrives securely. We really like the curation too! We love that it’s a theme box and love “Animals” and everything that was included!  You are asked when you subscribe the gender, age, and reading level of the child the subscription is for so the items are tailored for your child. We also love the craft and are excited to see what’s next for the Nugget Subscription Box!
As far as box economy for the $25 that Nugget costs we received $30 in products and that doesn’t include the craft! We think Nugget is awesome!
Isabelle writing a thank you for the box!
