Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Retro Pop Box
We received a First Look Box which is a sampler of what the Retro Pop Box will contain and has items from the ’60’s, ’70’s, and the ’80’s. Upon subscribing to Retro Pop Box you will choose a decade and will have items from that decade sent to you.
Everything that we received in our Retro Pop Box!
Seriously, how much fun is this box! What a blast from the past!
I know it was a mix of decades but I wasn’t stumped about any of this stuff!

So what is all this stuff?

’60’s

Duncan Yo-Yo
$3.99
If it isn’t a Duncan… I’m relatively certain almost everyone reading this can finish that sentence! My brother and an old boyfriend were all stellar yo-yo’ers. So, even though this is from the ’60’s I think this contribution to the box spans quite a few decades! I’m surprised that all of these things are still being produced, I guess it just shows how well received they were!
Marvel Comics Buttons
$5.99
These are really cool, In celebration of 70 years of Marvel they’ve made a four button “retro” pack that includes Captain America, Spiderman, and Wolverine. I think all of these characters have kind of come “full circle” and enthusiasts of today and yesteryear alike will appreciate these cool little commemorative buttons.

’70’s

Scratch ‘n Sniff Stickers
$4.99
Oh, the ’70’s.  Disco, bell bottoms, and microwaves! These stickers lend a bit of cheeky humor to our American obsession of making everything “simple”. I’ll be forcing these upon people for quite a while. I haven’t taken them out of the package yet so I’m not exactly sure if the smells of each food are different. The sticker to test on the package smells like corn? Not sure exactly.. but a  very silly and fun inclusion nonetheless.
Evel Knievel T-Shirt
$20(?)
This is a Retro Pop Box Exclusive so I’m not exactly sure on the price however, comparable tees cost on average $20- $25. I really like this tee. Both the Mr. and I are very into collecting vintage t-shirts. I rarely wear them in the unboxing’s because I don’t want to distract from what I’m showing you guys. This is definitely an awesome wardrobe addition.
Rockin’ the Evel!

’80’s

C3PO Pez Dispenser
$5.99
My decade! The ’80’s where everything was kind of kooky and totally excessive!
This Star Wars C3PO Pez Dispenser is still awesome! While this is definitely retro it’s also still very relevent and yummy!
Tetris Magnets

$7.61
My absolute favorite thing in the box (it was hard to choose between the tee and this). Love that I can show this to my kids and explain it in a way that will make sense to them! I played Tetris A LOT as a kid, and this brings back the super mems!

I may be waiting on that bar a long time.

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Retro Pop Box seems to understand our strong attachment to not only the past but to our childhoods! Even though this was a sample box and not just my birth decade I “got” everything included! We think the curation is EXCELLENT! Presentation is quite nice as well and quality is great, everything is really nice and arrived nicely packaged and in great shape! The box opens up doors to the past which is it’s greatest quality and it’s the first box of it’s kind – we are really happy we got to review this one!
As far as box economy we had to guesstimate with the shirt but for the $20 & shipping the box costs we received approximately $48 in merchandise! We think this is AWESOME!
