If you read our first and second review of Hello Fresh you know that we loved the first two recipes. 
This post focuses on the third and final recipe in the Hello Fresh Box.

Teriyaki Glazed Meatballs
Crunchy Cabbage Slaw and Basmati Rice

My husband likes Teriyaki so I was excited to make this for him, I even saved it for last.
The ingredients for this recipe

Ground Beef
Soy Sauce
Corn Starch
Red Cabbage Shredded
White Wine Vinegar

My initial thoughts on making meatballs was that it was difficult. I’ve never done it before and I absolutely had it in my head that it would be really hard. I was surprised at how simple this recipe came together. Here’s how it all went down.
First, we prep and preheat the oven to 400. At the same time bring 1 1/2 cups of water to boil
Peel and grate carrot
Thinly slice the scallions keeping the whites and greens separate
Peel and mince the ginger
Cook the rice – simmering on medium heat for 15 minutes
Remove from heat and let steam until the rest of the meal is ready
Next, we make our cabbage slaw by combining the cabbage, carrot, ginger, white wine vinegar, and two of the soy sauce fish. Toss and set aside to marinate
Now we combine the ground beef, scallion whites, panko, and a large pinch of salt and pepper. 
Form into golf sized balls and bake for 13-15 minutes until cooked through
Finally, we make the Teriyaki sauce. First, we combine the cornstarch and 1/4 cup of water to make a slurry
Heat a small pan over medium heat and add the remaining soy sauce, tablespoon of honey, and the hoison to the pan and whisk. When it begins to bubble whisk the slurry into the pan and cook until thickened.
Now all that’s left is plating this yummy dish!
So you fluff your rice
Toss your now finished meatballs with the Teriyaki Sauce
Serve over the rice
Serve with a side of cabbage slaw
Sprinkle with green onions and enjoy!

So in summary

My experience with Hello Fresh has been amazing! I loved all of these recipes and enjoyed the entire process from unboxing to cooking to plating and eating. I love the focus on exact portions with no waste and all natural, organic meats and vegetables. This is perfect for someone like myself who kind of lacks the initial creativity required to make great recipes but so totally able to follow a recipe!
