Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Raw Box
Everything that we received in the Debut Raw Box
This box was packed full of tasty treats. You guys know me… it never lasts very long!

So what is all this stuff?

Our inserts and a few box extras
Sunfood Superfood Goji Berries
$15
These healthy little buggers are chock full of potassium, iron, and selenium. There’s some B vitamins, calcium, zinc, fiber and some protein thrown in for good measure as well. These are not bad but not something I can just eat plain. To me they taste a bit like raisins.
I think they’d be excellent in a salad or a smoothie or maybe even a trail mix of some sort. My kids will probably never let that happen because they LOVE these!
Saavy Naturals Yuzu and Meyer Lemon Soap
$6
This soap is made from 100% natural ingredients.I absolutely love the way this is packaged and the unique trapezoid – like shape of the bar.
The Yuzu (Japanese Grapefruit) and Meyer Lemon scent is refreshing and clean
Eco Nuts Soap Nuts
$4.50
These “nuts” are actually berries from a Himalayan tree. There’s something in this berry called Saponin that gently cleanses laundry (this is all very new to us!)
Included with the nuts is a bag. All you have to do is add 4-5 of these to the bag and place in your washer
Artisana Organics Raw Coconut Cacao Bliss
$2
This is not what I had imagined when I first saw this product. It is so wonderful!
Since this is a Coconut product and it suggests we knead it, squeeze it and enjoy I assumed it would be a white kind of goopy substance?
Not like that at all. This is a chocolate spread and tastes of coconut and chocolate and is amazing. If you like coconut this is definitely something that you HAVE to try. Probably my favorite thing in the box!
Raw Revolution Spirulina Dream Bar
$1
This 100 calorie bar made with Spirulina Powder is Raw Rev’s #1 selling bar! You know we love Raw Rev over here however I had never tried this one. It’s a bit fruity tasting and there are pieces of nuts that are really yummy. All in all I really liked it
Brad’s Raw Broccoli Poppers
$4
This was the most bizarre thing in the box (that’s not a bad thing either we love trying foods we have never heard of)! These dehydrated broccoli florets are high in Vitamin C and many other nutrients
I had never heard of a “Raw Broccoli Popper” so I wasn’t sure exactly what that entailed.
This is made with 1/4 pound of vegetables and seeds – so they don’t skimp
The flavor is good – I actually thought the Vegan Cheez on these tasted really good! The texture takes a little getting used too though, my eyes see fried and my mind in turn expects that but that isn’t what it gets. It can be a little perplexing
Go Raw Choco Crunch Sprouted Cookies
$1
I am familiar with the Go Raw brand. I have had their products in the past and liked them so I am not surprised that these little chocolate cookies are so tasty and HEALTHY! Because of the raw cacao all the nutrients are in tact. And we get a healthy dose of antioxidants, vitamin C, omega-6, and serotonin. I also tasted a hint of banana – could have just been me though!
Sunwarrior Classic Plus Protein Powder
$6
I haven’t had a chance to use this yet but there were three different flavors included in the Raw Box;
chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. This protein powder adds amino acids balancing effects with things like peas, quinoa, amaranth, and chia seeds
Doctor in the Kitchen Flackers
$6
I haven’t had a chance to try these yet either. But I have some cheese in the fridge that has these crackers name on it! These are made with Flax Seed and are full of fiber, protein, and omega 3’s
Nutrawbar Coconut Raw Bar
$3
You’ll get a natural boost of energy from this coconut bar that has only four ingredients
I really love the way this is packaged. I would very likely buy this if I saw it in a supermarket
The texture is perfect, chewy and soft. The flavor of the coconut is sweet and I would definitely say that this is a filling bar!
Emmy’s Organics Coconut Vanilla Macaroons
$3
These were so good that I was disappointed there were only three in the bag. This is another brand that I’ve never heard of before and am definitely going to have to find at the grocery store!
If there’s coconut in it I’m probably going to like it, so these were a hit as far as I’m concerned. The coconut is present and delicious in these chewy little maracoons

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation and presentation.  The presentation of the Raw Box is grand! Love the box and the colors! Everything comes exactly as it should as well. The quality is great, we are happy with the all the items included and their general appearance and quality. The curation is excellent, this is an example of a box that allows us to gain brand awareness by exposing us to products we may not be able to find on our own and we really like that. If you are involved in or are interested in learning more about the Raw Food Movement this is definitely an awesome option for you!
As far as box economy the Raw Box costs $39.95 and we received $51.50 in products which is a pretty great deal considering a lot of these brands aren’t readily available in most areas!
