Our first glimpse inside the Gradbin subscription box
Here is everything that we received in the December Gradbin
The focus of this box was on the holiday break and relaxation!
These items definitely have a cozy feeling to them!
So what is all this stuff?
Our Box Insert which is super detailed! We love that!
Project 7 Sugar Free Gourmet Mints
These Peppermint Vanilla Mints are sugar free and support good causes. Each pack bought supports one of 7 areas of need.
They even have a number you can text to find out exactly how they are giving the money… which is pretty darn brilliant!
I don’t know what I expected but I was surprised by these. I shouldn’t have been, these are just a simple mint with a nice and not too overpowering mint flavor
Ordinary Artists Hand Stamped Mini Notebook
This notebook had a hand stamped leaf design on the front. There were four possible variations that you could have received in this box. These little notebooks are perfect for jotting down ideas or just taking phone numbers or writing your grocery list!
Craftsman Soap Company Herbal Plantain Lip Balm
I couldn’t find this product on their website, but another similar lip product was priced at $4. I really like that the items that we received in this box are unisex, nothing is uniquely feminine or masculine so if this is a gift you don’t have to worry about sending something that may be irrelevant
This lip balm provides heavy barrier protection without leaving any scent or stain. We really like it!
You can buy this cool mug straight from the Gradbin site! What a perfect mug for tea!
I don’t own anything like this and when I have tea I’m always searching for a baby spoon to stir in my honey so this is my favorite item in this box!
This was a bonus item and we sort of took a stab at the price. Definitely something any college student will have a use for at some point!
ChocXO Drinking Chocolate
I did some really rough math to get this number. This is worth way more, so very good. This is actual chocolate that you add to warm frothed milk (We’re lazy and didn’t froth ours). This is the real deal hot chocolate guys and oh so yummy!
The bits of chocolate… they looked like little tiny chocolate chips.
Adagio Teas Full Leaf Teabags
We received four teas in our box. A Masala Chai, English Breakfast, Chamomile, and a Blueberry White tea were included wrapped up in a really pretty bow
I love trying teas so this was fun for me, I started with English Breakfast.
I had never heard of Adagio Teas so I wasn’t sure if these were in bags or loose leaf or what I was going to open these up to find!
These tea bags are different than anything that I’ve ever tried. Instead of a paper bag it was more of a “netted” material and you could see all the different herbs and leaves of each tea. The teas are kept whole leaf for a quality taste experience!
We’ve actually all been sick with a chest cold over here… and as you may know there is nothing better than a hot cup of tea when you have a cold!
ChocXO Organic Tasting Chocolates
These gourmet tasting chocolates came in two varieties. Organic Milk Chocolate and Espresso and Organic Dark Chocolate.
This is the Milk Chocolate with Espresso and I have to say, because of the Espresso it tastes a bit like dark chocolate! Definitely a decadent treat!
So in summary
We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. Gradbin is a fun treat for any college student who may need a little pick me up. Presentation is excellent, everything comes beautifully packaged and nothing is damaged and arrives exactly as it should. We also love their promotional items (THAT MUG THOUGH?!) Quality is great there were a few high end treats included in this box which are a great way to pamper the recipient. And curation is great as well. All useful items that won’t take up large amounts of space in a dorm room. And definitely welcome treats to anyone!
As far as box economy the Gradbin costs $29.95 and we received roughly $37 in products which is great!
