Here’s the Box Breakdown

Our first glimpses inside the Boxwalla Food Box
As with the first box we received, this box is really unique and it appears as though each of the four different boxes is a different color.

This single origin dark chocolate from Ecuador was one of two different varieties that we received in the Boxwalla Food Subscription Box. I haven’t had a chance to try this yet, but apparently it’s an amazing sipping chocolate!
I love that there’s a little flavor chart on the back. This bar is 75% Cacao
$1.99
If you read the blog you know that I LOVE these!
This has real pieces of espresso in it! I ate this entire bar in one sitting and was ready to GO – not sure where to but — somewhere!
I recommend these before study sessions, meetings, or generally long and boring days. Puts some pep in your step! Or for mornings — for that get up and go!
$14.99
If you watched the unboxing I explained how the first time I had heard of truffle oil was via The Vegan Black Metal Chef. Now feels like an appropriate time to share that video with you. It’s funny if you have a darker sense of humor you should give it a watch (obviously once you’ve read this entire review)

But seriously though – what an awesome item to receive in a subscription box. They suggest adding this to scrambled eggs or mixing with cream cheese or mayonnaise for a flavorful addition to breakfast
Only two ingredients! Just white truffles and olive oil – yummy! And while most truffle oils are chemically enhanced this one is not!
$13.50
My favorite thing in this whole box. I’ll be honest jam on a whole doesn’t really excite me – because for the most part they are all pretty much the same. This stuff though… wow. Rather than making this fig jam from dried figs it is made from FRESH figs.
There are big pieces of fig in this, and the flavor is sweet and full and just heavenly rich. I loved this! As if that isn’t enough click around their site at the many, many, flavors! Some only available seasonally – I think I’ve found a new vice. I’ve gone to the refrigerator at least three times today just to get a spoon of this stuff!
$12.25
If you don’t hail from the Pacific Northwest this stuff is really hard to come by. There was only one place I could find online that sold it and they are SOLD OUT! I can totally see why
There are pistachios and cherries and absolutely NO RAISINS! Yay! The salt with the sweet is amazing! I dare you to just eat one handful… you can’t!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. I’m loving The Boxwalla Subscription Box’s presentation. The boxes are great and reusable and recyclable! There were no spills or leaks and everything was carefully packaged. As far as quality, wowee this is good stuff – no qualms here! And curation, excellent  – yes these items are all delicious but we could easily add any of these to any ordinary breakfast and have something extraordinary! The theme of this box is fulfilled and executed perfectly!
As far as box economy for the $49.95 that Boxwalla costs we receive $51.00 in products which is great considering the measurable amount of brand awareness that we’ve received!
