Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the December Raw Box
The packaging is just as simple and pretty as the first box that we received
Everything that we received in our Raw Box for the month of December. This looks like a really healthy, nutritious assortment of items.

And just in case you haven’t heard of a raw food diet or aren’t familiar you can read about it here

So what is all this stuff?

Sunfood Superfood Trio
$7.50 (all 3)
The first item I received in the Sunfood trio included in this month’s Raw Box is this Vanilla Protein Powder. This delicious vanilla flavored powder is great for making protein shakes. This powder contains 18 grams of protein and 9 amino acids
This alternative to processed sweeteners can be used in place of honey in tea or even syrup on your pancakes. Derived from carbohydrates present in the Agave plant this makes  a tasty alternative to traditional sweeteners.
The final item in the trio of Sunfood Superfood items is this Superfood Smoothie Mix which has sprouted brown rice protein and chia powder which provide absorbable protein. There are a ton of other powders in this mix including cacao, maqui, acai, and camu camu just to name a few. All of which are great for the immune system and because of the Red Maca this drink gives a great energy boost as well
I haven’t actually had a chance to try these yet, but I definitely want to make a morning shake soon using these shake mixes!
The Wonder Seed Water Lotus Hand Lotion
$13
This hand lotion is made with the extremely nutritious hemp seed oil which has been scientifically proven to be an excellent all around healing agent. The scent is a light “ocean” like fragrance with just a hint of floral. The formula of the lotion is light and easily absorbed by the skin. I think the price is a bit high but all in all a really nice lotion
Juvo Organic Raw Meal
$3
This Vanilla Chai flavored meal replacement has 55 plant based ingredients that come from grains, fruits, vegetables, sea vegetables, mushrooms, and protein. All you have to do to use this is shake or blend with 10 ounces of milk or water or juice. I haven’t put this in liquid yet but I did open the packet to try the powder and it’s very good!
Sky Island Organics Crackers Alive, Cranberry Maple Pecan
$7.50
Surprisingly these were by far my favorite thing in this box! I wasn’t sure about them when I first saw them but they taste a bit like a fruit and nut bar with a more silky texture.
Made with sprouted cashews, baby greens, and chia seeds these crackers are full of protein, fiber and good fats. The pecan has the lead role in these delicious crackers making it a sweet and hearty snack
Redmond Clay Facial Mud
$10
I love clay masks so I was glad to have received this. I love skincare in general but have seen excellent results from clay masks that I’ve used in the past. I like very much that this is not in powder form as most clay masks are. I don’t have to mix the messy powder with water – all I have to do is apply it to my face!
I haven’t had a chance to test this out but it seems to be the perfect consistency that you’d want in a mask. Although the color is a bit different from the ones that I’ve tried before. Definitely look for this in a future empties video
Two Moms in the Raw
Charming Cherry Chocolate Nut Bar
$3 (each)
This is exactly what the package says. A bar with cherries, chocolates and nuts sweetened with coconut nectar. All organic, gluten free, Non GMO, Raw and Sprouted – we were excited to try these!
The bar itself is really good and has an interesting and delicious flavor. The texture is also complex and wonderful as well. Very glad that we’ve come across this brand and will definitely be putting this on our short list for future purchases
Righteously Raw 83% Cacao Pure Dark Bite
$0.75
This 83% Cacao Dark Chocolate Bite has a deep earthy flavor and melts ever so perfectly in your mouth!
The funniest thing about this chocolate is that despite the fact this is a dark chocolate it looks like milk chocolate. And the lack of refined sugars means that you can snack without the guilt!
Ello Raw Cinnamon Sugar Donut
$5
For those of us with a sweet tooth (ahem). These are coated in cinnamon and coconut palm sugar. The only deceiving thing about these is that in comparison to a real donut these are much more dense and filling. I had one and had to stop myself so I didn’t get too full
The texture is consistent throughout and the flavor is cinnamon and sweet and quite good!
Natural Zing Pitted Peruvian Black Dried Olives
$14
I haven’t cracked these open yet but I’m delighted that they came in this box! My kids LOVE black olives and these have been dried (below 110 degrees) pitted and cured with sea salt. These juicy olives still have all of their natural oil still in tact. I was confused when I first saw these because they almost… for a second looked like berries!
WrawP Flatbread
$2
A flatbread alternative. These are interesting looking, no? I had to try one. I didn’t have anything to wrap up so I simply ripped a piece off and tried it that way
This was different. The most notable flavor was the oregano but overall I would say that this is sweet wrap. The Box included a few recipes and ideas for the WrawPs as well!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Raw Box sends a beautiful package of snacks each month and everything arrives exactly as it should. So we think presentation is excellent. Quality is great as well – all of the items included in this box are made with premium ingredients. Curation is also excellent, if you are trying to get healthy and are considering or have chosen to go the raw food route this box is an excellent way to try a whole bunch of different foods without a huge commitment. Take what you like and buy more and just leave what you don’t!
As far as box economy the Raw Box costs $39.95 monthly and for that we received  $68.75 in products which is amazing!
