Personal Microderm | Review

The Personal Microderm is a handheld tool that removes the top layer of your skin to reveal a softer, smoother skin below using microdermabrasioin. I’ve been using this device for over two months…

Microdermabrasion is not a new concept. It has risen in popularity but can be traced all the way back to ancient Egypt. They were using sandpaper so it’s safe to say that things have come a long way!
I will be honest this has a hefty price tag. For a stand PMD you’re looking at $159. You’ll also have to repurchase discs to continue use.
I can say though, that this has been revolutionary for my skin. You guys know that I have extremely dry skin and this has been tremendous in preventing overdrying and just relieving my skin of dead cells. My skin is brighter directly afterwards but the most amazing thing about the results is that over the following days I notice that my moisturizers and other serums are more readily absorbed and I’m finding my skin requires less of them in general
There are a lot of warnings which at first seem alarming but if you watch my video I explain the precautionary measures are not that likely as long as you read the instructions and practice with the safety disc. As you can see in the picture above there is a disc inside, There are four kinds and two sizes of each (the larger are for your hands and feet) This is the second disc or the most mild. This does the job for me so I haven’t had the need to go any higher.
It lightly vibrates to remove the skin and afterwards you are supposed to moisturize and go about your day! It says to use every 4-7 days. I’ve been using this for over two months and I’d say shoot closer to 7 just to keep your skin from getting irritated.
All in all this device takes a little getting used to but yields amazing results. I would recommend this if you have dry skin, or are beginning to see the signs of aging, or just want a healthy glow particularly before an event this would be awesome!
