Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Silver Spoon Elements of Gourmet Box
Very pretty with the silver seal!
Everything that we received in our Silver Spoon Box. The theme was “Green with Envy”and with all these yummy goodies everyone around us absolutely was!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box inserts. Included is a recipe for Green Dirty Rice which 3 of our box’s ingredients can be used in and a detailed list of each item that we received
Silver Spoon Green & White Leeks
$6.25
Leeks were part of the Dirty Rice recipe included in the March box. But the sweet and subtle flavors of the leeks can be added to potatoes, macaroni, salads or can be added in soups, stews, or casseroles.
We love potato and leek soup, so we’re really pumped that these were included. They smell amazing!
Silver Spoon Premium Bay Leaves
$6.25
These were another ingredient in the Dirty Rice Recipe. This jar is huge! This is a lifetime supply of bay leaves for us. We learned (via our insert card) that fresh bay leaves are very mild and don’t develop a flavor until several weeks after they are picked and dried. Which we find quite interesting
Elki Cilantro Pesto
$9.50
We are most excited about this alternative to standard basil pestos. We LOVE cilantro, the crisp flavor is always uplifting and refreshing. This pesto is nut free and uses cilantro and spinach in lieu of basil. We have pesto with our pasta about once very two weeks; and we can say for certain we will be using this!

Mina Harissa Spicy Moroccan Green Pepper Sauce
$8.95
This Moroccan Green Pepper Sauce is also included in our dirty rice recipe. We can see why as well, this stuff is HOT… the Green Chiles made our nose run!
What we love about this though is that underneath the heat of this sauce is firstly, a fabulous texture. It’s unlike a hot sauce to have a creamy consistency but this manages to incorporate a good bit of it. Also, flavor – after the initial wave of heat hits we’re left with the flavor of bell peppers. It almost tastes a bit like chili. This is fabulous, and if you like to try your luck with different hot sauces we highly recommend this one!
Pine River Mini Mint Moonbeams
$3.50
We have to admit, these taste a bit like Thin Mints but much smaller and much more crunchy! These are absolutely delicious!
We received a 4 ounce bag and probably could have eaten about 12 more ounces or so to make it an even pound!
Brad’s Raw Crunchy Kale
$4.97
The only thing in this box that we were familiar with! We love these yummy, cheesy, kale chips!
These chips are coated in red bell pepper, cashews, sunflower seeds, lemon juice, scallions, chickpea miso, garlic, and sea salt. Raw to preserve nutrients and enzymes and 100% delicious!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Silver Spoon Elements of Gourmet Box is a  fabulous box for foodies and experimental palates alike! The presentation is excellent. The box arrives beautifully and everything is wrapped very carefully! The quality is AMAZING – these are great, high end food items. We were happy with each one! Curation is fabulous! The “Green with Envy” theme is adorable and everything was so carefully chosen and fits the theme so well… even the dirty rice recipe! We think this is an excellent way to increase brand awareness or to even try out a new recipe each month!
