Our first glimpse inside the May My Texas Market Box. The theme is “Backyard Barbecue”
This sounds like a fun box!
Everything that we received in the May “Backyard Barbecue” themed My Texas Market Subscription Box. We were so excited to see theme items! What a great way to kick off grilling season!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box inserts that detail everything that we received in the May box

We haven’t had a chance to try this yet but we can definitely see how this is a backyard barbecue must have! The sweet peach flavor goes great hot or iced so you can appease the masses. Never fear if peach isn’t your cup of “tea”, check out the site and browse their hundreds of different varieties!

This is the second “Bag of Smoke” that we’ve received! These awesome little bags add tons of flavor to your grilled foods and give you a great smoked taste without the hassle. All handmade in Katy, Texas there are easy to follow instructions included in the box.

Now they’re speaking our language! This is something we definitely need anytime we open the front door in the spring and summertime! Handmade in Austin this bug repellant has no artificial colors, preservatives, or chemical additives.
This deet free repellent is hand poured. Some of the natural ingredients included are cocoa butter, beeswax, citronella, and clove oil. Simply apply to pressure points as needed

Last year, they brought us Lavender candied jalapenos and now … this lively mustard! A combination of aged habanero chiles, tequila, honey and Texas red grapefruit livens up almost any dish!
We really liked the depth of the flavor. There’s a great texture to this mustard as well. We’ve never had anything quite like this before!
$8
So, we haven’t had a chance to use this yet (we’ve had a pretty epic amount of rain in our neck of the woods) but this smells and tastes… tasty!
Can be used as a marinade, rub, or seasoning this mixture of Thyme, Basil, Onion, Garlic, and Smoked Paprika is great on steaks, chicken, fish, or vegetables. Spaulding’s makes many small batch spices, teas, and sugars but this “Smoke on the Barbie” is a best seller!
This is a “brookie” if you can’t guess it’s a brownie and cookie in a mason jar. We were pretttttttty excited to try this out!
This had marshmallows and chocolate chips and all sorts of deliciousness going on… we ate this in one sitting and we have NO remorse
Under the marshmallows!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. My Texas Market is a fabulous “Farmers Market” style subscription box. We love the unique and quite yummy inclusions! Presentation is always amazing. Everything is carefully wrapped and packaged. The quality is excellent. Every item chosen is chosen for it’s superiority to others in it’s class. This is a box full of winners! Curation is fantastic! We love the items they’ve chosen for a barbecue and think that they fit perfectly! We also have to say that this subscription box has gotten us excited for the warmer weather and entertaining outside!
As far as box economy the My Texas Market Subscription Box costs $35 monthly and even though we couldn’t find the price of the “Brookie” we still totalled the other items up to $34 which we think is amazing!
