Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside. This box is so gorgeous, everything about this is luxurious and elegant
Everything that we received in our May 524 Candle Lab Petite Soap Subscription Box.
The theme for this box is {flowers} and upon opening we are immediately entranced with the aroma.

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert details each of the soaps that we received and the notes in each
Citron Et Jasmin
This 3 ounce bar is wrapped in a gorgeous papyrus type paper. Made with goat’s milk this bar has a mature air of sophistication
We only opened one of the bars of soap because … it pains us to tear that paper!
The scent of this bar to us is quite floral and soft. On our little insert it says there are top notes of blood orange and freesia, followed by jasmine (which we have to say is the most prevalent scent) tiare flower, and magnolia, and the final notes of ripe peach, powdered sugar and precious woods. We have to say these are a perfumer’s delight! Such complex and glorious fragrances!
Kadu Blossom
Kadu from the Kakadu Plum Plant, we had never heard of this before. If we had to liken this scent to something more familiar we’d say a light gardenia. Top notes of kakadu blossom leading up to the middle notes of lavender and sage with a hint of jasmine. The base note is an amber and bit of musk.
The paper’s used to wrap each bar are as noteworthy as the bars themselves, this one a stiff parcel paper has a pretty daisy print.
Ginger Lily
If you watched the unboxing you know that we struggled trying to come up with the word for the gold pattern on this soap’s paper. The word we were reaching for but just couldn’t grasp was filigree.
Whatever you end up calling it, it’s gorgeous! And while it’s hard – we think this is our favorite bar included in this box. The ginger lily is subtle but uplifting. Our insert tells us that the top notes to this bar are peach, mandarin, honey, and nutmeg. Our middle note is ginger lily and lily of the valley (by the way we totally thought ginger lily were separate. Like ginger the food and lily but apparently there is a “Ginger Lily”) The base notes here are amber and white musk. The scents in this bar roll together and make a most satisfying heady aroma!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The presentation of the 524 Candle Lab Soap Box is beautiful. There’s an emphasis on the aesthetic and it shows. We love the care in the wrapping of the soap and also the bow on the box. It’s a gorgeous experience full of little extra touches. The quality is TOP NOTCH. These are amazing scents and it’s clear that the items that we received are made by skillful artists. The curation is awesome! They went in for florals, nailed it! We think this Soapbox makes an excellent gift for that person on your list who has everything, or as a display soap for your powder room or guest bath and of course you can also use it because who doesn’t want to smell like a milling dollars!?
