Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Hive Box and we are so excited! It’s been a while since we felt so passionate about a box!
Everything that we received in our Hive Box and we have to say this was such a delight. We really relish anything that gives us an opportunity to try to emphasize the importance of bees and how vital and important they are. We need to consciously make an effort to support them because of their declining populations. Thank you Hive Box!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert that explains everything that we received
And the card that explains all the applicable social sharing

We’ve had tons of different kinds of honey and can definitely taste the differences in most. This single origin honey from Oregon has what we would describe as a jumpy, sort of fruity flavor. Definitely vibrant and delicious!
We strongly urge you to check out Bee Local because they have some amazing stuff on their site, like BEE HOT SAUCE. WUT?!
This honey makes a great topping for desserts as well a great addition to your mug of tea!
Square One Soapworks Oatmeal, Milk & Honey Soap
$6.50
How adorable is this soap!? The scent is amazing and just an absolute classic. Super mild and perfect for a guest bathroom or anywhere you can put it on display!
We love Square One’s commitment to natural products!
$5
We actually have a Big Dipper Candle Tin and really like the quality of their candles. This candle happens to be 100% Beeswax and is simply scented with the sweet smell of beeswax
This candle will burn for over 12 hours!

Easily our favorite thing in this subscription box was this bag of bee seed bombs. VisuaLingual uses a combination of Toadflax, Echinacea, and Black Eyed Susan’s to attract bees to your garden! We’ve been wanting to try seed bombs since we first saw them and now we’ll have our chance!
Oliver wanted to eat them… he thought they were chocolate. In his defense they do look a wee bit like a Whopper. If you want something else in your garden like butterflies or ladybugs they also carry those seed bombs as well!
$6
This was exciting to see! The mixture was honey caramel and hazelnut nougat dipped in a light coating of dark chocolate.
The nougat and caramel together were amazing. We love how they do just a thin layer of chocolate that is flaky and oh so scrumptious! Definitely one of the best chocolate bars we’ve ever had, hands down!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Hive Box is a great subscription box for the eco conscious person that wants to support small businesses who in turn support healthy bee populations. We just love that about this box! As far as presentation everything is great! Quality is amazing, that chocolate bar melted a bit on the way to us but was absolutely delicious! Curation is excellent. This was a really great display of different bee products and we cannot wait to see what the Hive Box has in store for us in the future.
As far as box economy the Hive Box costs $24.95 monthly and for that we received $32.50 in items which we think is an awesome deal!
