Sephora Play! is a $10 monthly beauty box put out each month by Sephora. Boxes are themed and contain a variety of better known beauty brands.

Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Sephora Play! June Beauty Box
Everything that we received in our June Play! Box.
The theme is “The Minimalists” and is basic skincare and makeup. We like this much better than last month’s box.
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert that shows each item we received and why
Tocca Florence Perfume Sample
We adore this scent. It’s a floral with a strong heady gardenia scent. It’s gorgeous and very long lasting! Love the little package as well. This is the first product that we’ve ever tried from Tocca
This cute little bottle contains Tarte’s SPF 30 sunscreen an absolute must have even for a minimalist
Benefit they’re Real! Mascara
Yes, this is a great mascara. However, if we had only these sample sizes to use for all of our mascara until the end of eternity we’d be okay. SERIOUSLY!
Bumble and bumble Don’t Blow It
This creme adds body and enhances hair giving it an air dried look. We love bumble and bumble but don’t think this is the best product for us.
BECCA Backlight Priming Filter
Shimmering primer acts as a blurring cream and gives skin an effortless luminous look
This is a pump dispenser. You can’t really see this once it’s blended in but it goes on smoothly
We aren’t really sure if this is a product for us either
bareMinerals BARESKIN Sheer Sun
This is probably our favorite item that we received in our Play! Box this month. We’re excited to try this serum bronzer.
We haven’t tried it out yet but are excited to try this even though it looks like it may be a bit too dark for our skin.
So in summary
We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Sephora Play! Box is a fun beauty box and it’s also reasonably priced. This is a great way to find out what you like. The presentation is great, the box and bag are really pretty. Quality is awesome as well as curation. Our only gripe is that they don’t allow for customizations but we can get over it for the price. We think the value is clear so we didn’t bother doing a price breakdown!
