contents of boxwalla June Box
Everything that we received in our June Boxwalla Food Box.
This may be our favorite box yet! So much flavor!

So what is all this stuff?

boxwalla box insert
Our box insert that clues us in to the Wandering Woman theme. The Wandering Woman has chosen flavors from her travels that are exotic and delicious but still handcrafted in the United States.
mccrea's candies caramels
$15.95
This was the spoiler and we were so excited! The Wandering Woman chose these because it contains flavors from all over the world! It’s an amazing selection of decadent rich caramel with something for everyone!
The nine different flavors were tapped maple, ginger fusion, classic vanilla, rosemary truffle sea salt, highland scotch, dark roasted mocha, black lava sea salt, Cape Cod sea salt, and deep chocolate.
The ginger and rosemary were both so complex and rich – they were our personal MVP’s! The Old Husband liked the Highland Scotch. Each caramel was delicious and melted in your mouth as they should… made by a husband and wife team – one of which is a scientist! They create these high quality caramels in small batches with a selective hand in choosing only the best quality ingredients.
brooklyn delhi tomato achaar
$8.75
Our absolute favorite item in this box! This tasty relish is great in pretty much anything! We weren’t sure exactly what this was when we first looked at it and definitely hadn’t had anything like it prior but we’re pretty sure that we can’t live without it now.
The Wandering Woman decided this Indian flavor would spice up our lives a bit. This is an amazing marriage of tangy and spicy that brings even the dullest (seriously that’s a pita chip up there) to life! Has a good bit of heat and is recommended by the Boxwalla on your grilled cheese sandwich!
primo berry pasilla preserves
$5.50
Pasilla chile is a pepper used in Mexican Mole and is the pepper that lends this preserve it’s deep heat. There are so many other preserve flavors on the Primo site as well – you guys should check them out!
This has an amazing texture and consistency and the combination of the chile and the berries is sweet and spicy and scrumptious! A great pairing with any aged sheep’s milk cheeses
auria's life leaf sambal
$9.99
Next on our flavor tour is one from Malaysia. This sambal is green – a mixture of lime leaves and green chiles and garlic. More commonly in Malaysia is red sambal – a household condiment and staple item.
This flavor is truly complex – and because our husband has a palette that enjoys a more smoky and deep flavor where we prefer lively and uplifting – this was his favorite! This is spicy and the lime leaves added a sharp flavor that keeps it so amazingly interesting!
treehouse chcolate co
$3.50 (each)
Our final flavor is Peruvian, this Cherrywood sea salt drinking chocolate. The creamy flavor is unrivaled and while it looks like a normal chocolate the flavor is anything but!
Simply combine with 6 ounces of either steaming milk or water and stir passionately. We didn’t include photos of our own because we prefer to have bits of the powder left! But we’ve never had drinking chocolate that has salt in it! It’s amazing, an absolute must try.

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Boxwalla food box is an excellent assortment of amazing, high quality, flavorful foods! The presentation is excellent, everything is packaged thoughtfully for shipping and is biodegradable as well! The quality is so good! Each item we received is made in small quantities with an overall emphasis on quality ingredients and we just love that! The curation is amazing… the wandering woman theme is so much fun. We’ve received so many new flavors in this box it’s truly one of our favorites that we’ve received from the Boxwalla . This is a great box for the foodie in all of us – a great way to find new flavors as well as new brands to try!
