Here’s the Box Breakdown
first look inside saucefly
Our first glimpse inside Saucefly. This box is HUGE!
what's inside the saucefly box
Everything that we received in our Saucefly Subscription Box. Keep in mind we were a sort of guinea pig as Saucefly is based on the west coast and we are east coast and some of the items need to be refrigerated. It’s also important to note that some of the more perishable items included in the Maiden Saucefly weren’t included in our box. So consider this a “testing the waters” box in preparation for the September box!

So what is all this stuff?

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie Dough
This would have been amazing. However, it arrived a little warm and since it had raw eggs we thought it was best to not use it. We did want to show you a pic of the package though! Also Saucefly is doubling ice packs for next month so everything arrives perfect!
Enchilada Roja Sauce
This is a four ingredient sauce! While we haven’t had a chance to use it yet we are certain that this mixture of Tomatoes, White Onion, Ancho Chiles, and Whole Garlic will taste scrumptious on our enchiladas!
Each item has an expiry date labeled on the back
Sara’s Roasted and Toasted Chili Oil
chili oil
This stuff is amazing! We tried to go to their website that’s on the side of the jar but it doesn’t work. This is definitely a dip for the spicy lovers out there, it has a thick peppered taste and is pretty much good on anything!
May be addictive is right!
This stuff is like the stuff at the bottom of the pan – thick and tasty! We thoroughly enjoyed this!
Ginger Vinaigrette Dressing
We love salad and we LOVE vinaigrette! The possibilities are endless and we love that the flavor of a dressing can be completely altered with one ingredient. This is a hit at all of the curator’s restaurants  so of course it was included
We decided to put it on a salad we threw together. The ginger gives this a great depth and the cilantro makes it taste bright and fresh (we added some of our own cilantro as well ((we really like it)).
Organic Four Berry Jam
Love the label on this one! We love jam and have found some amazing ones in subscription boxes in the past so we were excited a jam was included in the Saucefly Box
A mixture of Raspberry, Marionberry, Loganberry, and Strawberries makes this thick jam AMAZING. There are whole chunks and the sweet flavor is just perfect. And that color though, AMIRITE?
Organic Papaya BBQ Glaze
We haven’t had a chance to use this yet but check out IG because we are planning to grill something amazing with this, this weekend! This has a simple list of ingredients including; tomatoes, brown sugar, papayas, raw onion, ancho chiles, pomegranate molasses, molasses, salt, ginger, and garlic
And just like the other items it has a use by date on the back
Moxie Mixers Cucumber Fields Mint Mojito Cocktail Mixer
What goes great with a delicious, filling meal? A DRINK! You can make a delicious organic mojito with this Moxie Mixers Cocktail Mix. The instructions are simple add 3 ounces of mix to 1.5 ounces of liquor and ta-da!
Items in Box Not Included in this Review

Tequila Lime Sauce
Organic Mole Verde
Aioli

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Saucefly Box is brand new and we totally understand the snags that can be associated with that. We think this box is filled with promise and can’t wait to see what they do in the future! The presentation is great, we love how everything is labeled. The quality is AWESOME. Everything is handmade, in small batches and is 100% ORGANIC! The curation is great as well – it’s an awesome grouping of organic items and interesting flavors!
