Our first glimpse inside the October Crated with Love Subscription Box
what's in the october crated with love box
Everything that we received in our Crated with Love Subscription Box. The theme for this box is “Love Heals” and is brought to us in part by Thistle Farms a safe haven for survivors of trafficking, addiction, and prostitution.

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert
Another reminder… that love heals.
Our first challenge asked us to read over the 5 love languages. After reading we are asked to make a guess as to both you and your partners love language. Afterward, go take the quiz on the 5 Love Languages site.
Mr. I’m Not a Tree and I received a copy of the 5 Love Languages when we got engaged from his Mom. At the time we thought it might be corny but we gave it a shot and … it’s eye opening. It truly is.
So, while we’ve taken the test before … no harm in reassessing. We are both nearly exactly the same!
Our second challenge is called, “You Strengthen Me”
In this challenge we use our cards from Thistle Farms and write down 5 things our partner does for us and 5 things that we do for our partner that are strengthening.
These cards are gorgeous and once we are done with the exercise we are supposed to keep the cards where we can easily see them as a reminder of our efforts for each other.
For both ourselves and Mr. I’m Not a Tree coming up with 5 things that the other did was simple. It was the 5 things that we did that was a bit trickier
In the end though, many of ours matched up! Which is really reassuring!
Our third activity is “Popsicle Art”
Basically you build something unique and interesting out of the popsicle sticks with your one and only tender-oni. If you aren’t that creative there’s a little kit included as well
Our cool, stained popsicle sticks
Our craft glue
The kit to make a flag popsicle stick craft
We had it in our head to make a circular fan like what you’d see spinning in a tree. So we grouped together the sticks and glued them angling each slightly further from the other
This actually took a long time
Finally we had our fan… it wasn’t the best craft ever but… we did it together!
This challenge is called, “Back and Forth Beach Ball”
Toss the beach ball back and forth – each time you miss you lose a body part starting with the arms. Move on to the legs and then finally the head. Lots of fun. We didn’t get any pics of this but had tons of belly laughs!
We love this magnetic clip – we use these on snacks and the saying  is kind of applicable to our unboxing lifestyle!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Crated with Love Box is a great way to connect and take a little time to devote to your partner each month. We love that they partnered with Thistle Farms as it’s an excellent resource for women in need! The presentation is awesome – we love the package and everything arrived exactly as it should. The quality is fabulous – the cards are easy to understand and each of the items to complete the challenges is very nice. The curation is great! We love the variety of each of these challenges – we’re using our minds, our hands and our bodies! We had so much fun! We think Crated with Love would make an excellent gift for newlyweds or anniversary!
