Here’s the Box Breakdown
our first look in the 1 pound coffee box
Our first glimpse inside the 1 Pound Coffee Box.. yummy, yummy we can smell the coffee!
what's in the 1 pound coffee box
Everything that we received in our 1 Pound Coffee Box. Love the red bags and the variety!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box inserts. One explains how 1 Pound Coffee works and the other explains the causes that 1 Pound Coffee supports and that you’ll choose between when you subscribe. There’s providing 2.7 days of food, clean water, & education for children in poverty, 9 meals for struggling families, or a partial night of human trafficking undercover investigation. All sound great to us and we love that 1 Pound Coffee Box is doing it!
Roasted in Battlefield, MO we had never had a Panamanian coffee before and so we for sure had to try this one first!
Coffee Beans! Currently the 1 Pound Coffee Box offers whole bean only
After we ground it up – it smelled so bright!
Our cup, this was actually a really mellow coffee. Great for those of you who drink coffee all day! This coffee has notes of berry, citrus fruit and chocolate
imprint coffee roasting
A medium Honduran roast from Sodus, NY. A great coffee for drip brewing. This coffee has amazing notes of pistachio – delicious! This roaster is focused on community growth and ethical sourced coffee… so you can feel really good about drinking this one!
honest coffee roasters
We love us some Sumatran… and this one – roasted in Franklin, Tennessee has subtle notes of cheer wine, cedar and chocolate mousse which makes it much more bold than the average Sumatran and we love it!
carabello coffee
El Regalo is a farm in Mozonte, Nicaragua -so this is a Nicaraguan roast. We needed to know what this one tasted like as well!
These beans had a much sweeter scent and now reading more about them, we have read that they have a subtle molasses note to them! Hey! We got it right!
We are in love with the rich flavor of this one! It’s extremely smooth but full and has a very warm finish! Our favorite from the box

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The 1 Pound Coffee Box is an awesome way to find lesser known coffee roasters who are committed to fair trade practices and we love their charitable efforts! The presentation is great, everything is packaged beautifully and we love that they have information online about their different causes and roasters! The quality is fabulous. These coffees are top shelf! Each roast was hand selected because of it’s superiority. And of course curation… is amazing. If you want variety this is definitely the coffee subscription for you! Four different coffees from four different roasters… this subscription definitely gives us a good dose of brand awareness!
