Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Pen Pals 4 Me Subscription Box. Love this bright cheery package!
Everything that we received in the Pen Pals 4 Me Box. This is such a cute box – definitely got Penny immediately into the spirit of writing!
So what is all this stuff?
To help draw pictures and color in the coloring sheet we received a package of 12 colorful markers!
Our actual postcard that we’ll be mailing to our penpal! Penny’s penpal is Emma.
The back has postage on it already and is addressed. Your child just fills in the message and return address
Our penpal trading card, there’s one for each of the Pen Pals 4 Me characters.
This packet contains a project. First you draw and design your own postage stamp. Then you write about your design and what made you design it that way. Finally, there’s a cloud fill in sheet
This is all in addition to your postcard. If you watched the unboxing we thought this might be a part of the postcard in some way. Nope, all extras.
Fun stickers of each of the Pen Pals 4 Me characters
Each time you receive a letter back from your penpal you receive a reward sticker. After you receive three stickers you’ll receive a special reward!
In this packet we receive our welcome letter, a coloring sheet and an all about me page.
Our welcome letter that explains how Pen Pals 4 Me works and what to expect
Our activity sheet asks questions about you and even has a spot where you can draw a picture of your pen pal
Finally, we have our coloring sheet
And of course… a pen!
Okay so now what?
Now it’s time to write a postcard!
Penny filled hers out in NO TIME FLAT! She was really excited about this!
She then went on to do the different activities included in the box
She filled in her “All About Me” sheet
Here it is all filled out!
Next she started to design her postage stamp
It says, “My postage stamp is a foreign (said like this: for-en) letter flying across North America and the Sahara Desert”
And finally, her cloud fill in. We think Penny thinks she’s pretty good at drawing… but we aren’t sure
So in summary
We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Pen Pals 4 Me Box is a great way to get your child interested in the writing process and we love things that help them to hone and refine their writing ie: the cloud fill in included. The presentation is excellent. We love the colorful package and all the sheets look like they’ll be so much fun. The quality is great, everything is branded well and printed on great quality paper. Finally curation… what an excellent set of tools. This is perfect for any child who enjoys reading and writing and wants to get better or you can use this help your child get better in a fun way! Any way you use it, we think this box is awesome!
