Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Allure Beauty Box for October
Everything that we received in our Allure Beauty Box for October.
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert that comes in the form of a pamphlet and details each item in the box along with retail values.
We’ve been wanting to try one of these since they started popping up everywhere last year. Finally, we’ve received one in this yummy freesia pear scent which is a beautiful mix of fruity and floral. These sponges help to cleanse, exfoliate, massage, and nourish!
We’ve received this before in a box but don’t mind getting more deep conditioning masks especially if they are all natural like this one. It has a slightly cocnutt-y smell. The full sized (8 ounces) is $36 and we received a 1 ounce container
Wowzers… well we’re definitely getting our monies worth and the best part? Who doesn’t use black mascara! Even if you don’t need both – keep one and gift the other to a friend!
We’re cool with getting more eye shadow shades so this was kind of exciting to open up. What color would it be?
The actual shadow is quilted and looks stunning. Why this shade? Because bronze is a multi-tasker. Use it as a liner, in your crease or on your lid. It’s beautiful anywhere!
A few months ago every vlogger had some Tatcha mist. Some loved it and some loathed it – so when we saw a Tatcha product in our box (they’re extremely pricey) we were excited just to be able to try them out.
While this looks cool and contains colloidal oatmeal (a great gentle hydrator) and we do love the rainy floral scent – this just wasn’t a hit with our skintone. We found the cream was hard to rub in and left a very oily residue. Just not for us.
Dry shampoos are popular and we’re pretty sure we received this exact one before. We love Klorane products and don’t doubt this is wonderful but we rarely if ever use dry shampoo. We’ll probably be passing this on to a friend.
So in summary
As far as beauty boxes go Allure definitely has more bang for your buck than the typical $10 box. The extra $5 does give you a bit more product to work with. Even the products we weren’t bowled over by were very nice. And for the price of the box $15 we received $87.50 in items…. Holy Guacamole and don’t forget – if you subscribe now your first 4 boxes will be just $10!
