LXMI (pronounced luxe-me), is named after the creators favorite Hindu goddess – the four hands on it’s crest represent; prosperity, liberation, morality, and love. The mission of this boutique skincare brand is to source rare ingredients from unique areas and at the same time employ women. Many of the ingredients in the LXMI line are edible and are all natural and organic.

So tell us more
The Nilotica nuts used in this reserve are of the highest grade from the Nile River Valley. This single ingredient product starts off as a cream and once it’s in your hands turns to an oil. The Nilotical Oil increases skins hydration and improves fine lines, wrinkles, smoothness, and texture of skin. We love the packaging – it’s quite beautiful and we really get a luxurious feeling from it.
Each package comes with a unique harvest number. You can enter it on their website to see where your Nilotica Butter was sourced from – and what the wages of the women who sourced it were along with product information, as well stores and photos of the workers
This screenshot is from the harvest number that we received. There’s a lot more information and we really love this about these products. It’s hard to know whether something is truly “fair trade” but the LXMI commitment is unmistakable.
Finally, inside the package we have our gorgeous black and rose gold jar as well as our rose gold spatula which adds to the high end element that comes with this amazing cream. This one ounce jar is $48
The entire package is recyclable – important to note.
This cream contains just one ingredient – 100% Organic Vitellaria Nilotica Fruit Butter. It has no real smell and goes on a lot like a night cream but quickly heats up to an oil that provides a phenomenal barrier layer on the skin. We suggest using this before bed or during the cold winter months. A little goes a long way! We really love this – the quality is phenomenal and we think we may have found a new holy grail product!
And of course there’s also the 0.5 ounce travel size Nilotica Melt if you want one for your purse or want to get an idea of what this product is all about before you buy the full sized! This 0.5 ounce tube is $24
