Here’s the Box Breakdown
first look in the may box
Our first glimpse inside the May “Pearls of Wisdom” Box. We are so pumped… we love pearls!
We received the “Newbie” Box
what's in the crafty hands club box
Everything that we received in the Crafty Hands Club Box for May. There are so many beautiful pearls and useful tools!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box inserts. They explain a little bit about pearls and how they’re used. The boxes also come with a PDF that’s sent via email to follow for a better understanding of the jewelry making process
We received 6 different sets of pearl beads. There are endless variations when we are creating our own pieces! We love it!
Starlight Mints
We received 4 starlight mints
Tiger Tail Wire

This is the wire we’ll be using to string our pearls. There is 30 feet on this spool!
In making jewelry before we’ve never worked with wire so this is new for us!
Jump Rings
In this container we have 20 Jump Rings, 10 Crimp Tube Beads, and 5 spring ring clasps. These different pieces will allow us to clasp together our jewelry
Raffaello Almond Coconut Treat

We had never heard of these before but boy oh boy were they yummy!
A crispy coconut outer shell with a white chocolate center makes this a decadent and indulgent treat why you are making decadent jewelry!
Crimping Tool
This is probably the most important tool that we received and definitely a skill building activity for us – we had never used one of these before!
Mini Bead Board
This bead board allows us to design our necklace layout before we start stringing it onto the wire.
To cut our wire
Round Nose Pliers
round nose wires
These help us to open and close jump rings and basically work with small jewelry elements
Needle Nose Pliers
needle nose pliers
Another jewelry making tool these also help us deal with tiny pieces and parts
Vanity Compact Mirror
This was our gift of the month, a cute little blinged out vanity compact mirror!

Okay so now what?

Now we make some jewelry!
Following the PDF we received we use the crimping tool and create the first end of our piece of jewelry. The PDF details creating a necklace but we sort of wanted to make a bracelet so that’s what we worked towards
Then we string our beads onto the wire in whatever pattern we choose
Finally, we add our spring ring clasp and trim the extra wire.
And we are left with our gorgeous pearl jewelry!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Crafty Hands Club is a great subscription for anyone wanting to learn or interested in making more jewelry. We love that they include all the tools and the detailed PDFs! The presentation is great, everything is packaged wonderfully and comes in perfect condition. The quality is awesome – all tools are really nice as well as our pearl beads. Curation is super – we received everything that we need to create beautiful pearl jewelry in a variety of styles and patterns and it all came together perfectly!
