first look in the june handmade hive box
Our first look inside the Handmade Hive Box for June. This theme is “Celebrate Summer” and includes items to incorporate into all your backyard get togethers!
what's in the handmade hive box
Everything that we received in our Handmade Hive Box. Have we mentioned how much we LOVE this box?! Seriously – the most amazing assortments of items and so much of it is local to us!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert – which details each of the items that we received and their retail values.
In The Clear Wooden Utensils
$4.68
These disposable utensils are compost friendly and a great choice for the environment! Love the little bags that they came in! In the Clear is a brand from Texas
more than q barbeque
$9
Being married to a Texan has taught us to be discerning with barbecue sauce. With that being said this stuff is superb. A true Carolina sauce – it’s got that good vinegar kick with some heat and some sweet and all sorts of goodness… the best part? They’re local.
simply straws glass straws
$37.25
This beautiful set of 4 straws comes with a LIFETIME guarantee. A glass straw is an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional straws and you are still getting the benefits to your teeth avoiding all the acids in your drink!
We received 4 different colors along with a cleaner! Loving the orange!
beautiful briny sea ladybug picnic
$8
This company creates fun spice blends in these neat little containers.
This blend called “Ladybug Picnic” is a gentle mix of sea salt, lemon, garlic, paprika, curry, mustard, parsley, pepper, sage and dill. Definitely will be incorporating this into some of our veggie dishes!
Lemon Mustard from CJ’s Mystic Mustard
cj's mystic mustard
$8.50
This was a surprisingly sweet (almost like honey mustard) mustard! Another Pennsylvania business we were really excited to get to try out some new mustard (our personal favorite condiment)
This was so yummy. A thin formula with a top note of sweet that is still making our mouth water just thinking about it!
buy the farm sriracha
$8
What a name right? Another Pennsylvania company and this one sounds like way too much fun! Made with Fieldstone Coffee Roaster Bingo Blueberry Tea we weren’t sure exactly what to expect!
So, we really underestimated the spiciness of this. For some reason the word blueberry really threw us off and we ate this ENTIRE SPOON. Well… it’s got heat guys but it’s bright and beautiful and a perfect addition to a lunch tortilla or white meat chicken! Plus, it’s vegan!
Pourer
We don’t know the proper name for this item.. but we will definitely be making use of it!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Handmade Hive Box is a wonderfully curated selection of amazing products. Each month is a true treat! The presentation is great – everything is packaged well and arrives perfectly. The quality is phenomenal. Their dedication to finding brands that are committed to their products really is inspiring! The curation is excellent. These boxes are put together so thoughtfully and are so well rounded. The theme for this month’s “Celebrate Summer” is brought together most pleasingly by a line up of excellent items!
As far as box economy the Handmade Hive Box that we received costs $44 and for that we received about $75 in items which is AWESOME!
