Boxycharm Subscription Review | September 2017

september boxycharm review

Boxy Charm is a $21 a month make-up subscription that sends mostly full size products some are deluxe sample size too, but all are high end well known brands like Tarte, colorpop, ect. They have a reward point system as well called “Charms” that you can get for referring people and reviewing your monthly products which is always nice. This Subscription usually has appx. 1 month wait list, But the wait is so worth it. This month’s theme is Boxy Baddie so lets check it out.
*I pay for this subscription myself*

These are all the items we got this month, there are always  variations though. A few of the products are in everyone’s box like this month everyone got the palette, the m.a.c eyebrow pencil *2 shades*,and the Colorpop came in a few shades as well.  Whichever variation I got this month would have been okay with me.
Bare Minerals Face Perfecting Brush
bare minerals face perfecting brush

.This brush is meant for seamless foundation application, as you can see there is a recessed center to hold liquid foundation. I usually use a beauty blender for my foundation so this was a new experience for me. I followed a you tube instructional video and did as it said and applied the product in small circles. I was happy with my end result the coverage looked beautiful and dare I say flawless. I might just be switching to this brush from now on.
ColourPop Ultra Satin Liquid Lip

Colorpop Ultra Satin Liquid lip I got the shade “Mess Around”.  this is my 4th or 5th lipstick from colorpop and I love them.  I have a ton of different brand liquid lippies and the colorpop formula is one of the best. My lips don’t feel dry and the color does not flake off like some others I’ve used. This is the first brown color in my collection and I do like it very much it a great shade for fall and I am so over the light nude colors.
Studio Makeup Loose Blush

. I’ve used many loose powders face, eyes, and highlighters but never blush. I really like the natural pigmentation of it. Just make sure that you tap of any excess before applying to avoid fallout. The container is the same as the artist couture highlighter we got in B.C a couple months back and I really appreciate it. The cover spins to open and close so it saves so much product from falling out and prevents putting too much on the brush. I think all loose  powders should do this.
PURE Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette

Another palette of natural shades. While I adore getting a $34 full size high end palette in a $21 box. I would LOVE to get some other shades and I know a lot of other women would too. The swatch above is of 12 colors but the first 3 or 4 colors are so light they barely show up and this is swatched on my 11 yr old who is pretty pale so you get the idea of the pigmentation also this a dry application without primer.
Eyebrows by M.A.C
eyebrows by M.A.C
This is a pretty nice eyebrow pencil. I have been using the brow gal palette from a previous B.C box, so I was skeptical to go back to a pencil. To my surprise this one worked pretty well. I was happy with my brows, they looked very natural and this was easier to add definition than with my powder &  brush. I must admit I did have high expectations though being a m.a.c pencil.
Don’t Despair Deep Conditioning Mask by Briogeo
don't despair briogeo
I have such dry hair from coloring and products so I need this. Any conditioning masks really don’t do much for me I mean yeah my hair is softer and easier to brush immediately after I wash it out and for maybe the next 3 days but that’s about it but hey Ill take softer hair for any length of time. This mask smells really good too so yes I did like getting this in my box this month its better than another highlighter. lol

Nicole’s Notes:

As always I was happy with my Boxy Charm this month. Its always worth it in value just the Bare Minerals brush is $7 more than the cost of the entire box. The combined retail value of each item is appx $126 which is so AMAZING. Boxy Charm is THE box to subscribe to if you want to build up your collection with beautiful high end makeup products. This box is primarily makeup only there is usually 1 if any other items like skin, hair or nail care. Check out Boxy Charm today, you could get on the wait list and possibly get Octobers box if not you’ll definitely get one in November. Thanks for checking out my review I hope you enjoyed it.
