Ricky’s Cult Crushes Review December 2017

ricky's cult crushes review
Ricky’s Cult Crushes is a subscription of beauty products, tools and skincare from NYC. There is a Ricky’s store in NYC which is most women’s dream store, well mine anyway. They send all kinds of great products one month they sent a mini flat iron and it only costs $11 a month which has a retail of products up to $50. This is a great box if you wan to try some of Ricky’s hottest new beauty and lifestyle products. Lets see what is in my first Cult Crushes box. I did purchase this box myself I am currently trying to see which of the “Cheap Make-up Subs” is the best like Ipsy, Allure, Ricky’s,birchbox etc. Keep an eye out for my allure review for December too and I would love to know which one you all think is the best too if you know of any other cheap boxes please let me know.

Wow this looks pretty nice for an $11 box.

First up is a dime sized sample pan of freedom system eye shadow by Inglot which I am sure you know is a super expensive makeup brand, just this tiny sample is about $5 so yeah its pricey. This shadow is a great formula that has a very vibrant pigment and is super blend-able, I am not a huge fan of the color alone (swatched below) but mixed to make an eye look I think would be perfect for a smokey look or a cut crease.

Frankie Rose lip gloss in the shade Raspberry Dazzle. This very sparkley sheer gloss is beautiful. I think that this can be worn alone or over a matte color to add some glitter (swatched below)

The lip gloss and shadow swatches. This picture really does not catch all the sparkles in the gloss its a bit more shiny and brighter in person. The shadow is very matte and build-able this is 2 coats.

PearlBar whitening toothpaste sample. This is just a foil package but that’s ok this toothpaste has activated charcoal, non GMO, vegan, and fluoride free. And the best thing I think about this company is that they don ate 10% of sales to charity which is pretty great.

GlamGlow mega illuminating moisturizer, again another foil pack but glam glow is so expensive, this little pack has 2-3 uses in it for me anyway so that is cool. I love glamglow products so I was happy to see this since its the only one I have not tried and I love it it really does make your skin look so pretty.

We got a huge tub of Glow Butter say hello to sexy legs body butter. I am already obsessed with this butter it smells like pink icing and makes my skin so soft. It has a very light shimmer to it too I love it. This actually was the reason I wanted to try this box this month I’ve been eyeing it for a while but I saw the Dec box pic on FB and ordered right away because of this product and I am so happy I did. This super thick formula soaks into my skin fairly fast and does not leave any greasy feeling like some body butters can its a really great moisturizer I am super excited to add it to my lotion and body spray shelf.

Nicole’s Notes:

I am really happy with Cult Crushes I am going to keep my subscription going for a while unless they go down hill quick which I doubt. Some people might say ugghh 2 foil packets…yes but we got a $35 body butter and a $20 lip gloss that were both Full Size in an $11 box … I rarely get full size items in Ipsy and never in Birchbox so in my opinion this is a better value. So this is a grate little subscription and if you guys wanna check it out click the link below and tell them that Nicole from Not a Tree Reviews sent you :)they also have a huge online shop with amazing prices. I am pretty sure that you can get that months box until the 25th of each month or until they sell out so this box was still available when I just checked.
