Hello Fresh Subscription Box Review | February 2018

hello fresh review

Hello Fresh is a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly meal delivery service that sends recipes along with all ingredients to help you prepare healthy, home cooked meals. Prices vary as you can choose between couple or family sized portions. Additionally, you can choose between the Classic or Vegetarian options (perfect for those with dietary restrictions)

Our first look inside the Hello Fresh Box

Our three recipes this week. Because we don’t have the upgraded premium box we don’t get meats like steak. This box includes white meat chicken, pork and ground beef

Our three packages for the month along with their recipes

So what is all this stuff?

Juicy Lucy Burgers

Everything that we received to create our Juicy Lucy Burger

Our completed Juicy Lucy Burgers. These were stuffed with cheese (Mr. I’m Not a Tree forewent that). But the jam that we made to top them was DELCIOUS!

Creamy Dill Chicken

Our favorite recipe for this month was the Creamy Dill Chicken recipe. It was simple and traditional – yet tasty and delicious!

This recipe was really simple and the sauce that we created ( a mixture of sour cream, chicken stock, dill and dijon mustard) was a real winner! Absolutely delicious1

Pineapple Pork Chops

Everything that we received for our Pineapple Pork Chop Recipe. This was the most labor intensive with lots of pre work (but even so this meal was completed in less than 45 minutes)

Our completed Pineapple Porkchops. These were topped with a pineapple, cilantro, shallot and lime juice salsa that was distinct and definitely something we’ll be making again! Approved by both Mr. I’m Not a Tree and ourselves!

So in summary

This week’s Hello Fresh was delicious and while we think it’s a bit pricey it still doesn’t change the fact that the recipes are easy and yummy. Everyone that has tried them thus far has loved them. The recipes are easy to follow and for the most part don’t require that much work! It’s a great option for people who are trying to brush up in the kitchen!
