first look in the oceanista box

Our first glimpse inside the Oceanista Subscription Box. This box is beautifully packaged – it really does have such a beach-y feel to it!

what's in the oceanista box

Everything that we received in our Oceanista Subscription Box for Winter 17-18

So what is all this stuff?

Pottery by Kathy Mug
pottery by kathy mug$13.97

This nautical style mug is LARGE (which we can totally get behind). The little graphic says, “All you need is love and the beach” which is a true statement if you ask us.

We are absolutely in love with both the size and color of this mug. We currently have nothing like it in our collection! By the way the Kathy that creates these mugs hails from not to far from us!

Oceanista Skincare Hydrating Night Creamoceanista night cream

We couldn’t find this anywhere on the site and think that for now… it may be a subscription box exclusive. The jar is gorgeous and while the product is pink we were pleasantly surprised to find that it had no fragrance whatsoever.

While this is a traditional night cream in that it leaves a barrier feeling on your skin, it’s lightweight and doesn’t feel tacky like some other creams we’ve used. A night product for people with normal skin!

Multi Strand Necklace with Shell

This mother of pearl / abalone style shell necklace definitely makes a statement. In our opinion you absolutely cannot go wrong with this gorgeous winter white!

It’s a shorter chain and lies right on your heart chakra which we thought was pretty cool!

Wine Topper

Who knew all the benefits of being a mermaid?

This wine topper is stamped with this cute mermaid graphic. Making a perfect addition to all your friendly gatherings!

This vintage VW Bus bookmark is made with a soft mood and has that nostalgic beach-y feel!

What better thing to do while looking out upon the ocean than to reflect? This companion item to our bookmark allows us to do just that, all while writing it down

Pages are ruled and this also has a strap to ensure it stays closed

Mast Dark Chocolate Bar

This dark chocolate bar is made with 70% Cacao. We love the label – it looks super fancy! We haven’t had a chance to try this out yet but we have a feeling it’s going to be delicious!

Soaptopia Bath Salts

Ahhh… bath salts are one of favorite decadence’s at the moment. This sweet orange, jasmine and vanilla sounds like it is going to be fabulous! And after looking at the Soaptopia site we are thinking we might have to try a bunch of their wonderful sounding scents!

LOF Shawl

This gorgeous shawl made this the perfect box for any “Oceanista”. The colors are perfect and go well with our necklace but it still gives us a good bit of warmth while maintaining a very sophisticated appearance

We have to say that we are loving these earth tones!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Oceanista Box is a beautiful collection of items that are fun and luxurious yet useful. The presentation is excellent. Everything is packaged beautifully and arrives perfectly. The quality is amazing. Loving all the items but the shawl, necklace and skin cream really move our soul! And curation is superb. As far as winter boxes go – it can be tough as an “ocean” themed box but we think they really did great job of knocking this one right out of the park!
