Owlcrate is a YA book subscription that sends a new release, first edition, hard cover book usually with a signed book plate or currently they have been sending signed books – which is so cool. This is by far my favorite subscription of all. I love getting this box every month even if I am not a fan of the book that they send. They include such cool and sometimes exclusive bookish items that it creates an entire experience, there is always a wow factor when I un-box my owlcrate and I am way past the “Young Adult” part of my life. Not a Tree Reviews pays for this subscription it’s $29.99 +7.99 shipping.
April’s Theme is “Shadows & Secrets” (I’m over the moon)
This is the first time I’ve gotten anything that is edible other than tea in my Owlcrate and let me tell you this coffee by: Bones Coffee in the flavor Dark Chocolate & Sea salt is so delicious. I am not a fan of flavored coffees at all but this is so rich and indulgent it’s really one of the best coffees I have ever had… seriously it’s THAT good! This flavor is exclusively for Owlcrate members.
I adore this vinyl sticker by artist: Jamila Mehio. It represents Adelina from The Young Elites. It’s about 2″ around and a really heavy duty sticker perfect for my laptop.
Another Owlcrate exclusive is this Harry Potter pencil trio set by: Jubilee Designs. These seem like the good quality pencils like the “Good ones” not the dollar store kind, I have not and will not sharpen them so I don’t know but I know Owlcrate and they only include quality items. And as usual an exclusive Owlcrate pin, there is a pin in every box and it’s always different because it is designed around the theme or the book of the month.
I love this soap by Three Sisters Apothecary its exclusive “Shadowhunter” Soap in the scent wild berry. I love how it comes in a matchbox, it’s a really cute design that I have never seen before! I am loving this soap !
YES! Another Pillowcase, now I have 2 and can finally use them. I think my king size bed needs at least 2. This beautiful case is made by Stella Bookish Art and of course it’s exclusive to Owlcrate and inspired by Crooked Kingdom. These pillowcases are super soft and the designs are super detailed.
This Excerpt booklet, Legendary by Stephanie Garber is a long awaited volume in the Carval novel series. This book will go on sale May 29th. I am so happy to have gotten this. I have read it and I am even more excited for it’s release. It will be darker than Carval and I think I will like it better.
Our signed Book of the month- Aces of Shades by: Amanda Foody came with a letter from the author and a set of postcards which was a cute addition. The art on them is cool. The book is about a new city – New Reynes that holds many secrets and a girl who enters the city looking for her mother.
Signed by Amanda Foody! I like this so much better than the bookplate but either way it’s pretty cool to us.
I found this letter to be quite a bit more interesting and mysterious than others – it makes you want to jump into the book.
The Theme for May’s OwlCrate will be “Fight like a Girl”
And will include an exclusive Bath Bomb from Whipped Up Wonderful.
That is so very exciting. I love bath bombs and this company makes amazing smelling products.
To me this is this the best book box that you can get. It is a little on the higher price end and there are quite a few that are cheaper but they are no where as good in my opinion. They have Owlcrate Jr as well which is geared towards middle grade books and items. I got it for my daughter and she loved it. There are past boxes on the site to purchase as well if you don’t want to commit to subscribing each month but you can always cancel at any time or skip a month.
