Subscription Box Unboxing

Subscription Box Review

subscription box review

The first glimpse inside the Postbox from Postmark’d Studio. This box always has a grey and blue motif which I think is really unique.

stationery subscription box

Everything that I received in our July, “Dive In” themed package from Postbox. This is a great assortment for summer and we are loving it! This box really worked at including items that you typically wouldn’t put in the mail!

So what is all this stuff?

The box inserts. The left card lists each of the items that subscribers received in this month’s box.

And then the reverse shows us a way to take letter writing one step further. This month it involves one of the items that was included in our box!

Each package from Postmark’d Studio includes a handwritten note from the curator – this month the note includes a heart pin as well!

One in a Million Card from Santoro London

The first card in this month’s collection is from Santoro London and hones in on a retro vibe that could be applicable for many different occasions. We love the “pop art” aspect of this and I will be sending it to my Mother in Law to congratulate her on a new beginning in her life, she bought a new house!

I love the polka dot envelope and think it matches this card so perfectly. This goes with the theme of this box perfectly!

One in a Million Card from MC Bruno Press

Undoubtedly my favorite card in this package. The curator of the Postbox has been holding onto this card for 18 months in wait of the perfect time to use it. And now the occasion to use it has arrived. I love the colors as these were the colors of my wedding and something about the champagne vibe takes me back! This card makes a great way to invite a friend over for some summer drinks!

Bruno Press is located in Minneapolis Minnesota and was inherited from the owner’s late father.

Send From Co. Upcycled Postcard

Send From Co. uses a 1971 postal Jeep to drive around to different community locations (like coffee shops, markets and special events) and offers passersby the opportunity to create a custom postcard out of recycled cardboard and rubber stamps made from reclaimed wood. This is one of Hillary’s  (the creative force behind Send From Co.) designs.

To be honest we had never thought of sending anything like this in the mail and are really fascinated with the concept of using unusual objects as vehicles for good old fashioned snail mail!

Reclaimed Wood Stamp from Send From Co.

Our second item from Send From Co is this reclaimed wood wave stamp. This is super cool and we are so happy to receive an item that is useful but also environmentally friendly.

I’ll be using this to dress up the envelopes to each card that I received in this package.

Vintage Postage

Every box from Postmark’d Studio includes enough postage to send all your cards. They include vintage postage which adds a fun element to your letter writing. There is also a card that explains what groupings you should use to have enough postage for your letter or postcard. There’s something very intriguing about each of these old timey stamps.

Beach Ball Postcard

Another addition to the unconventional items to mail is this beach ball postcard! So unique and such an awesome addition to a, Dive In themed box.

The card explains how you can send this beach ball to your favorite beach or pool pal. This is a crazy idea we’ve never heard of but we are excited to try it out!

You’re the Best Card from Smudge Ink

Say thanks in a seasonally appropriate way. This card from Smudge Ink does just that. We love the fun, watercolor-esque image and the colors are super pretty! This is a little bit smaller than the other cards included in this collection which we think makes it stand out some.

Smudge Ink is located in the Charlestown section of Boston my husbands hometown!

Happy Birthday Card from Elum

Our final card in this month’s Dive In themed box fits the theme perfectly. The colors are excellent and make this card really pop! I think the images on this card convey the theme of fun in the sun and sand!

Elum is located in San Diego, California. This is one of the only cards we’ve ever received in our Postbox that have a message inside, this one says, ” Sit back and relax, it’s your birthday!”

So in summary

Presentation: One of the best aspects of this subscription box is the unboxing experience. The aesthetics and the theme are always really well thought out; and the colors used always work perfectly together.  Everything arrived to us perfectly in our July package from Postmark’d Studio.

Quality: I love the quality of each of the items that was included in this Postbox from Postpark’d Studio. Each card comes from a different independent letterpress that creates high quality, unique designs. You can see the thought and the work that is put into each one.

Curation: The curation of these boxes is one of our favorites of any box ever. Each card is selected for not only it’s quality but also for it’s relevance to the theme of the box. And then there’s the vintage postage which adds such a cool element that we really enjoy. This month’s Dive In collection was absolutely perfect for summer!
