Beauty Bag Review

subscription box review

Everything that came in my New Essentials Beauty Kit from Whole Foods.

So what is all this stuff?

My box insert. This lists each of the items that is included in our bag.

The bag that everything comes in is a pretty purple batik from Queen Allafia Cosmetics. It’s very pretty!

The first item in my bag is the Juice Beauty Cleansing Milk. I’ll give this face wash a try – in general though, I find that many Juice Beauty products don’t really work for my skin type. I do however, love a “milk” based cleansing product.

The next item in my bag is the Pacifica Sea Foam Complete Face Wash. Cute packaging and I’ll give this a shot. Just a FYI this came in both bags for the year.

This Derma E Vitamin C Gentle Daily Cleansing Paste is a product that I both know and love! You guys know that I love Derma E products and I am super stoked to have a bit more of this cleansing paste on hand!

I also received the Giovanni 2 Chick Clarifying Calming Deep Conditioning Hair Mask. I love hair masks and this one is generous. I can probably get about two uses out of this so I am pumped to have received it.

Along with the bag from Alaffia Cosmetics we also received their Everyday Coconut vegan lip balm. This is really nice and I remember liking it a bunch last year!

One of the items that I was most excited to receive in this bag is this evanhealy Blue Cactus Cooling Balm. This cools and soothes dry and red skin which sounds like it will be perfect for me!

I also received the Weleda Skin Food Lip Butter. To be honest I remember receiving this in my bag from last year – I still haven’t used it yet though.

Another item that I was very excited to receive is the Acure Brightening Jelly Mask. This is a thin and unscented mask that hydrates and cleans the skin. This is probably not formulated for my skin but I still will have fun using it!

The Mad Hippie Vitamin A Serum was also included in this bag. This was in last year’s bag as well but the bottle was bigger – sorry not sorry! I do like this and use it in my nightime skincare routine.

There were two sheet masks included in my bag. The first is the Acure Ultra Hydrating Cream Sheet Mask. While I’m not really riding the sheet mask train anymore clearly some people are and that’s ok.

My bag also included this Avalon Organics Soothing Moisture Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Shampoo. I like the smell of this and am excited to give it a try.

Next in the bag we have the PureZero Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner. I think these may have come in last year’s bag as well. If so, I still haven’t used them.

The Mychelle Dermaceuticals Remarkable Retinol Serum. I’m going to give this retinol a shot – I honestly believe they’re all pretty much the same… the only thing that changes is formulation and how much they actually put in there.

The second sheet mask included in this bag is the Whole Foods Cotton Cupra Mask. Like I said – not super stoked for these but I’ll allow it.

Second to last in my bag and a product that I’m really excited to have received is the Dr. Hauschka Quince Day Cream. I really like this skincare brand and am excited to try this product out!

The final item in my bag is the Mineral Fusion Nail Polish Remover. This is acetone free which is nice. I remember loving the Mineral Fusion Mascara that was included in a Whole Foods Beauty Bag I received either last year or the year before so I will definitely be trying this out.

So in summary

Presentation: Everything is packaged well and arrived to me perfectly

Quality: If you are into clean beauty and skincare products this is a high quality assortment of just that and it’s amazing!

Curation: What a nice assortment! And it’s definitely well worth the $20 spend!

Whole Foods Beauty Bag $20

Can't Ask for Much More

For the $20 spend this beauty bag couldn’t be much better. I like the items that were included and the sheer volume of items to use and try out!
