Subscription Box Review
Everything that came in my package from Spice Breeze.
So what is all this stuff?
This month’s Spice Breeze takes us to Dal Lake.
Dal Lake is a part of the Kashmiri Valley.
The first spice kit that was included in my Mkaouara. This is a Moroccan dish and is usually made with a tagine.
In this spice packet there is paprika, cumin, cinnamon, mint, black pepper and cayenne pepper.
Our second spice kit is Badrijiani which is a Georgian Spice Kit which is an eggplant dish that incorporates walnuts.
Our spice packet for this includes a mixture known as Khmeli-Suneli which is a blend of coriander, fenugreek, marigold, hyssop, paprika, mint, black pepper, turmeric, savory, methi, basil, cinnamon and cloves.
Our final spice kit is Rogan Josh – this Kashmiri kit is from the cold mountains of Kashmir.
Our packet for this includes fennel, cardamom, asofaetida, cumin, turmeric, cinnamon, coriander, black pepper, cloves and mace. There is also a packet of Kashmiri Chili that we can add to our recipe to taste. I made this recipe for this month.
First off I cut and deboned chicken thighs, fun, fun.
Then I mixed it with the Rogan Josh spices and some olive oil.
I browned this in a pot with some olive oil.
I then added some water and covered and cooked until the chicken fell apart.
While that’s happening I mix a cup of yogurt with a couple tablespoons of liquid from the pot.
I also get some chicken broth.
I then add that to my pot and cook for an additional five minutes.
Tada! You get this delicious looking stew.
I served this on a bed of rice and with a salad. It was so delicious.
So in summary
