derma e sunscreen reviews

Derma E is one of my favorite skincare brands. Their products are cruelty free, vegan, ethically sourced and clean. They sent me over a bunch of their sunscreen products to review and try out for you guys!

Sunscreen Review

The first sunscreen that was included in the range of products that I received is the Derma E Sun Defense Mineral Sunscreen with SPF 30. Each 4 ounce tube is $19.75. This is a lightweight product and is mineral based so it does have just a touch of a white cast to it.

Ingredients

Active Ingredient:

Zinc Oxide 20%

Inactive Ingredients:

Purified Water

Coco-Caprylate

Dicaprylyl Carbonate

Lauryl Glucoside

Panthenol

Vitamin C

Vitamin E

Phytic Acid

Triethoxycaprylylsilane

Polyhydroxystearic Acid

All in all this is a really nice sunscreen if you are looking for something with all natural ingredients that will be effective.

Next up in the lineup is the Derma E Vitamin C Weightless Moisturizer SPF 45. This is $23.95 for a 2 ounce bottle. This is something that I’d consider more just for the face. It is lightweight and has a bright citrusy scent. I do love that it has a pump as well.

While this is a mineral sunscreen I was surprised by the way it went on the skin.

It did not leave a white cast (but it did have to be rubbed in quite well.)

The final sunscreen in the collection is the Derma E Sun Defense Mineral Oil Free Sunscreen. This is SPF 30 and retails for $19.75 for every 2 ounce tube.

Of the three sunscreens… this is my least favorite. This was a little heavier in my opinion.

And it did pill for me. I’d recommend this for anyone who was truly concerned with mineral oil as an ingredient.

To sum it up. I’d recommend the Vitamin C Sunscreen for the face and the sun defense lotion for the rest of the body.
