Subscription Box Review

My first glimpse inside the WizKids Game Crate for this month.

game subscription boxes

Everything that came in my WizKids Game Crate for this month. Again there are just two games included… odd.

So what is all this stuff?

The first item in our box is worth as much as the box costs which is great! This is Nemo Rising: Robur the Conqueror. This is a full sized board gamed based on a book.

In this game 1-4 players will cooperatively play as the characters in the story to overcome obstacles and explore new worlds. This is kind of a choose your own adventure game as there are two different scenarios you can choose from for gameplay.

Another game that has a retail value higher than that of the box. This game is called Healock Paper Scissors and is a WWE based game.

In this game players will choose between 12 of the WWE superstars to use during play. The game involves not only improving the characters technique and having other players guess the technique but also chair climbing. Both of the games that were included in my box seem nice enough but neither was really right for me. You see what I mean? I just wan’t personally feeling either of these guys myself.

So in summary

Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to me perfectly in my package from WizKids

Quality: The quality of the games is quite nice.

Curation: This is where I have the most problem. I would not have chosen either of these games however, I do understand that we need variety as well… so I’m not too bad about it.

Okay month

This month’s box from WizKids Game Crate was just okay for me. I get the need for variety though and so we’ll have to see how it goes in the next box.
