My first glimpse inside the MEL Science Box that I received.

Everything that came in my box from MEL Science.

So what is all this stuff?

Each project comes with a little card that tells us how to complete it.

And the contents for each project are in labeled baggies. Like, this one for example is for our first project.

Some instructions.

A card for our second project.

And a baggie for our second project.

An instruction card for our third and final project.

And of course our baggie for the third project.

There was a roll of tape included to use with our projects.

And finally there was a little wooden stand we will use in all of our projects.

Okay so now what?

Now we do our science projects!

First we gather all the items for our first project.

To be honest this project is really just a precursor to the other projects. It explains the polarization of light and what you’ll be doing in the projects.

Then we move on to the second project which will change the color and perception of some common items like a plastic spoon, beaker, and petri dish with light polarization. Unfortunately, you need to have the special glasses on for this but trust me… it looks awesome!

Then in our third project we will use tape to create patterns with the polarized light. This was lots of fun and was definitely something that both Penny and I enjoyed.

Look at that SHEER JOY.

So basically you use the roll of tape to create patterns on these plastic films and with the color polarization glasses you can see some cool and colorful patterns.

Again, this is one that doesn’t really translate well in review form.

So you are just going to have to take our word for it!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to me perfectly in my box from MEL Science.

Quality: I feel like the quality of the projects that they include are extremely high quality

Curation: These projects are well thought out and are explained in a way that almost anyone can understand! We really had fun doing this one!
