Subscription Box Review

Before I start this review I want to say something about a recent experience that I had with Nadine West. My last bag (March 2022) was returned late (four days). I understand that their policy is to charge you for items kept but I thought if shipments were late they’d let you know… particularly if you sent everything back (to the tune of $400). But they did not. They charged my credit card. So I immediately emailed them (this was after I mailed back this months) and asked what happened and they explained that they don’t “usually” do it but that they will credit my account. So now… I have to keep things to the tune of $400. I just want my money back guys. Anyway. I’m just kinda done with them and I haven’t liked it in a while anyway so… yeah I’m gonna switch to Stitch Fix or something.

Alright enough of the rant sess… on to the review. It’s kind of sad too because I really liked the items that I received for April but they were too expensive – if I had the credit I could have kept them HA!

There were three pieces of jewelry included in my package. I don’t keep the jewelry. Ever. I just don’t need it but you can’t opt out of it.

This scarf has a really cool design and I liked it but I have enough scarves already that I just don’t use.

Another thing about this subscription is that they insert is hard to differentiate the items. This is I’m guessing a dress that is $40.99. It’s a blue floral design – not awful but I wasn’t swooning over it either.

It wasn’t flattering on either.

I loved this top on the hanger. The design was fun and colorful.

But it was so busy on that I just couldn’t like it and believe me – I wanted to like it.

My favorite item in this bag is this lavender dress. I ALMOST kept it but at fifty bucks… sheeeeeeesh.

It did have pockets but for some reason it made me feel fat. Not sure why.

These bell bottomed leggings were really cute and had a fun print.

But come on man… thirty seven dollars for some leggings. NO THANKS.

These drawstring pants were the most reasonable item in the bag this month.

Also not exactly flattering.

This blue oversized shirt dress is not my style. In fact I feel like all they send me are oversized items that I just am not loving. Nothing is what I ask for and they just keep getting it wrong. To be fair though I never update my style survey either.

This is just a no . no. no.

Why are they sending me grandma clothes. Seriously… doesn’t this look like something your Nan would wear?

Not even those sleeves are gonna save you, homie.

For some reason when I saw this it seemed promising. The colors were muted and the pattern was soft and pretty. I was also fond of the turtleneck.

Then I saw it on and it was shapeless and unflattering. No.

Second to last in my box is this navy striped cardigan. I really wish I had had those credits because I loved this and the second (you’ll see it here in a sec) cardigan that they sent me. I don’t have any striped cardigans and thought this would be a really nice one. Forty bucks is a lot though…

Wasn’t sure how I felt about it on either.

The final item in my bag for the month is this rust colored cardigan. I LOVE this color and this is just the softest, prettiest way to accent any look. But again that forty dollar price tag seemed so high.

And yet again I wasn’t sold with the way that it looked on.

So in summary

Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to me perfectly in my bag from Nadine

Quality: Eh. I consider this subscription a more “budget” friendly option but the prices keep seeming to creep up on me.

Curation: They are doing a horrible job and I guess I’m just as guilty of expecting them to be psychics.

  1. What happens when you send the items back, minus the two items that you picked out, and they charge you for entire package? What is my recourse to get my refund?

  2. Don’t try this subscription it’s a rip off they send you cheap clothes and even cheaper jewelry. Then they charge you 3 times more then the out fit yes one damn outfit is worth
